QCO Notification for Aluminum ingots billets and wire bars

Dear Reader,
Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “ Aluminum ingots billets and wire bars.

MINISTRY OF MINES has prepared a Quality Control Order in respect of Aluminum ingots billets and wire bars in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification Aluminum ingots billets and wire bars under IS 4026 : 2023 is as below:

The notification was released on 3rd May 2024 and it will be implemented from:

1st December 2024 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

1st December 2024 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

1st December 2024 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
