Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of "Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated Chains sprockets" for Indian marketplace.

Department For Promotion of Industry And Internal Trade (MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY) has prepared a Quality Control Order in respect of Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated Chains sprockets in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification for Precision Roller and Bush Chains, attachments and associated Chains sprockets under IS 2403: 2014/ ISO 606: 2004 is as below:

The notification was released on 3rd June 2024 and it will be implemented from

1st October 2024 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

1st January 2025 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

1st April 2025 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
