Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of "Fasteners – Cross Recessed Drilling Screws with Tapping Screw Thread Part 1 Pan Head."

Department For Promotion of Industry And Internal Trade (MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY) has prepared a Quality Control Orders in respect of Fasteners – Cross Recessed Drilling Screws with Tapping Screw Thread Part 1 Pan Head in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification for Fasteners – Cross Recessed Drilling Screws with Tapping Screw Thread Part 1 Pan Head under IS 18471 (Part 1) : 2023/ ISO 15481:1999 is as below:

The notification was released on 20th September 2024 and it will be implemented from

20th March 2025 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

20th June 2025 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

20th September 2025 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
