Dear Reader,
Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “Flat webbing slings.

MINISTRY OF TEXTILES has prepared a Quality Control Order in respect of Flat webbing slings in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification for Flat webbing slings under IS 15041:2001 is as below:

The notification was released on 3rd October 2024 and it will be implemented from:

1st April 2025 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

1st July 2025 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

1st July 2025 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
