Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “Reusable Sanitary Pad Sanitary Napkin Period Panties” for Indian marketplace.

MINISTRY OF TEXTILES has prepared a Quality Control Orders in respect of Reusable Sanitary Pad Sanitary Napkin Period Panties in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

The notification was released on 22nd February, 2024 and it will be implemented from 1st October 2024.
