QCO Notification for Solar Flat Plate Collector

Dear Reader,
Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “Solar Flat Plate Collector.

MINISTRY OF NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY has prepared a Quality Control Order in respect of Solar Flat Plate Collector in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification for Solar Flat Plate Collector under IS 12933 (Part 1): 2003 is as below:

The notification was released on 14th October 2024 and it will be implemented from:

14th April 2025 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

14th April 2025 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

14th April 2025 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
