QCO Notification for Stainless steel tubes for the food and beverage industry

Dear Reader,
Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “ Stainless steel tubes.

MINISTRY OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY has prepared a Quality Control Order in respect of Stainless steel tubes in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

QCO notification Stainless steel tubes under IS 6913 : 1973 is as below:

The notification was released on 25th September 2023 and it will be implemented from:

25th March 2024 for Medium and Large enterprises (Annual turnover 50< crores).

25th June 2024 for Small enterprises (Annual Turnover between 5 to 50 crores).

25th Sept 2024 for Micro enterprises (Annual turnover of 5> crores).
