Important update on mandatory BIS Certification for manufacturers and importers of “Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials - Specification” for Indian marketplace.

Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS) has prepared a Quality Control Orders in respect of Textiles — High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Polypropylene (PP) Woven Sacks for Packaging of 25 kg Polymer Materials – Specification in consultation with BIS in order to bring it under mandatory BIS certification keeping in view the human safety and for ensuring the optimum quality of product. The QCO for above said product is attached below:

The notification was released on 6th December 2023 and it will be implemented from 3rd June 2024.
